Agency user fields

These required field indicators appear on the user details screen to provide additional information about field-level information.

In the upper-right corner of the screen, the remaining number of required fields that you must complete appears. When you click on the number, the system shows you the first field you need to complete.

Orange circle icon.

An orange circle indicates a required field.

Green check mark icon.

A green check mark indicates that the value in the required field is valid.

Vehicle Identification Number field outlined in red.

A red outline around the field indicates that the value in the field is invalid.

General Information

This section describes the General Information fields in the base configuration. Your organization may configure additional fields, remove some of the base configuration fields, or make other configuration changes to the General Information form.

Field

Description

Deactivated Date

This field is visible only if the user account is inactive. It provides the date and time of the deactivation.

Deactivated By

This field is visible only if the user account is inactive. This provides the name of the user who performed the deactivation.

First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name

The name of the user.

User Login Type Whether the user must log into Underwriting Management directly or through single sign-on.

Role

Available roles:
  • Producer

  • Agency/Brokerage User

Your organization may have named these roles differently or may have defined additional roles.

Enable This User to Administer Other Agency Users

This determines if the user has permission to perform administration on other users assigned to the same agency.

Users with this option see a Users tab when they log in to UM Agent, and they can manage their agency users from there.

Organization

A drop-down list of organizations. The organization determines the list of available products. For more information, refer to Products.

Authorized Products

All or Specific

When you select All, the user is authorized for all of the organization's products.

When you select Specific, the Select Authorized Products field appears, and you must select the products for which the user is authorized.

Select Authorized Products

This list only appears if Specific is selected for the Authorized Products. The list of products depends on the Organization.

Each user must be authorized for at least one product.

Carrier Branch

A drop-down list of branches configured for the insurer.

Note: When the System Preference called Update Submission Carrier Branch When Agent or Agency is Changed is enabled, Underwriting Management sets the submission branch to match the branch of the selected agency and producer. If the producer is associated with a different branch from the agency, Underwriting Management uses the producer's branch.

Producer Code

A unique identifier code for the user that is useful for integrations with other systems.

Title

The user's title.

Login Information

The Username of the user.

After the user has logged in, Last Login is the date and time of their most recent login.

Password Last Sent contains the most recent date that the system sent the user a password. This field remains blank until another user initiates an email to send this user a password reset email.

Contact Information

Contact information for the user:
  • Email (required)

  • Phone numbers

  • Mailing address — The mailing address defaults to that of the organization, but it can be changed. If the organization's mailing address is changed after the user is activated, the user's address is not updated.
