Create an agency user

About this task

From the Manage Agency Users screen, you can create a new agency/brokerage user.

Note: The Users menu and Manage Agency Users screen are visible only if you have been granted the ability to administer other agency users.

Procedure

  1. Select Users > Manage Agency Users.
    The Manage Agency Users screen appears.
  2. Click New User at the top right of the screen.
    A new user details screen appears. The user's status is Draft.
  3. Complete the required fields and any optional fields. (For more information on the fields, refer to Agency user fields.)
  4. Click Activate. (If you do not want the user to be active, you can deactivate the user later.)
    Underwriting Management sets the new user's status to Active and displays a message that the user has been created and stored but does not have a password.
  5. Optional: Select a password option.
    • Click Yes to send the user an email with a link to create a password.
    • Click No to close the message without sending an email to the user to create a password. You can create and send the password later by selecting Actions > Create Password.

Results

The user details page for the new user appears. If you do not want the user to be active, select Actions > Deactivate.
