Unlock an agency user account

About this task

From the Manage Agency Users screen, you can unlock a user account that Underwriting Management has locked as a result of too many consecutive failed login attempts since the user's last successful login. The Status for a user account that is locked includes (Locked).
Note: The Users menu and Manage Agency Users screen are visible only if you have been granted the ability to administer other agency users.

Procedure

  1. Select Users > Manage Agency Users.
    The Manage Agency Users screen appears.
  2. Click the row for the user whose account you want to unlock.
    A user details screen appears. If the user account is locked, the Actions menu includes an Unlock User action.
  3. Select Actions > Unlock User.
    A confirmation window appears.
  4. Click Yes to unlock the user account, or No if you do not want to unlock the user account.

Results

Underwriting Management unlocks the user account and removes (Locked) from the user's Status. If the user does not remember the account password, you can send a new password by selection Actions > Create Password.
