Search in Collaboration tools

Search is available in each Collaboration tool. The All, Emails, Files, and Notes tools also include the ability to filter by file type.

Filter the All, Emails, Files, or Notes tools

Within the All, Emails, Files, and Notes collaboration tools, users can click the Filter icon and then select the type of files by which to filter.The filter acts as an AND with any content that is entered into the Search field; for example, if the user has entered "Company" in the Search field and has selected Application and Binder types in the filter, the view displays only items that contain the value "Company" and are of type Application or Binder. When no filters are selected, the Filter icon displays as black; whenever filters are applied, it displays as orange. Filter selections are maintained when the user switches to another Collaboration tab that supports filtering

When filters are applied, the All view does not display any Task or Chat records (because filters are not supported for those areas).

Clear a search

Search in the chat tool

In the Search Chat field, type the name of the user or the content you want to search for.

Search in the emails tool

In the Search Emails field, type the name of the user or the content you want to search for. You can only search the header fields (Subject, To, From, and CC). You cannot search the body of the email.

Search in the files tool

In the Search field, type the text you want to search for. You can search the following fields: File Name, Type, Description, and the Name of the person who added the file.

Search in the tasks tool

In the Search Tasks field, type the text you want to search for. You can only search the Summary, Task details, Assign To, or Assigned by fields.

Search in the notes tool

In the Search field, type the text you want to search for. You can search for the name of the person who created the note, the note type, or the contents of the note.
