Collaboration tools: Chat

With Chat collaboration, you can communicate in real time with other users. The chat feature is visible to everyone with access to the submission. If you send a message to someone who is not available to chat, your message is saved in their chat window so they can see it later.

A chat availability indicator appears to the right of your profile icon: green indicates that you are available and gray indicates that you are unavailable. You can set your chat availability in your profile. For more information, refer to Your profile and credentials.

The chat window shows all of the chat messages associated with that submission. The messages are sorted by date and time, with most recent first. For details on using the chat feature, refer to Chat with another user.

Search for chat messages

In the Search Chat field, type the name of the user or the content you want to search for.

To return to the full list, clear the Search field.
