Create and submit an application
Create the application
In the Submission Details window, click Create Application.
Your submission is now in the Draft status.
Complete the application
Enter the data for the application. (For information about the typical fields in an application, refer to Application data.)

An orange oval in the forms area of the navigation sidebar tells you how many required fields you must complete. |

A green check mark indicates that the entered value is valid. |
To navigate between pages (sections), click the section title in the navigation sidebar. These titles change according to the product for which you are applying and the stage or status of the application.
On the top right of the window are commands are available for your submission, either as active buttons or as options on the Actions menu. The list of commands changes according to the workflow status of the submission.
Submit the application
You can submit an application when you have completed all the required fields on all of the application pages.
With the submission in a Draft status and all required fields completed, click Submit Application and then click Yes to confirm.
After submission

Assigns both the Underwriter and the Assigned To user

Determines if the submission is eligible for Agent Quoting

Performs auto-clearance (if configured)

If auto-clearance is configured, Underwriting Management applies an automated clearance process and marks the submission Clear or Not Clear based on the application information.

If auto-clearance is not configured, when the application is submitted, Underwriting Management prompts the user to perform an account search as part of the clearance process.

Analyzes the effective date

If the policy effective date is within the configured allowable boundary, the status changes to Submitted and the system can be configured to provide the user a confirmation notification.

If the policy effective date is beyond the allowable date, the status remains Draft and the user is notified that the submission is in a Submit Pending status. When the allowable boundary date is reached, the system automatically submits the draft.
