Upload from an Agency Management System

About this task

Depending on your organization's implementation of Underwriting Management, you may be able to upload submissions from your Agency Management System (AMS) into Underwriting Management. (The ability to perform the upload requires the use of the Underwriting Management Submission Web Service, which must be set up by a developer.)

When the upload succeeds, Underwriting Management creates the submission, populates it with the data sent in the ACORD XML file, and then sends the link to the submission back to the AMS in the Web Service response. When you receive the link in the AMS, you can click it to open the submission in Underwriting Management.
Note: You will receive the link to the submission only when the submission has been created and contains all data that was sent from the AMS.

If the upload fails, the submission is not created, and you will receive an error message from the Web Service instead of a link to a submission.

Procedure

  1. From the AMS, initiate an upload into Underwriting Management.
When processing is complete, the Submission Web Service returns a response to the AMS to indicate the success or failure of the import and any errors that occurred.
  2. After you receive the notification that the submission has been successfully created, click the link to the submission that the Web Service has returned to the AMS to open the submission in Underwriting Management.
  3. Complete any remaining fields in the application and then submit it.
